Riley Kate Lancaster
Riley Kate Lancaster serves as a Junior Editor for the Cumberland Law Review. She is a 2L at Cumberland Law School. She is a 2020 graduate of the University of Alabama, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Communication in Public Relations and a minor in Political Science.
During undergrad, Riley Kate’s legal experience included interning for the Honorable L. Scott Coogler and working at Hayes Ingram, LLC where she operated as the first point of contact for clients and visitors.
On top of this, Riley Kate developed and founded a philanthropic organization, “Dare to Share,” for the State of Alabama. Through Dare to Share, she advocates for communities to be better stewards of their possessions and time by daring to share their unwanted belongings or their time by volunteering. Dare to Share has collected and distributed over 4,000 items over the past five years to dozens of counties around Alabama.
During Riley Kate’s first year at Cumberland, she became involved with the Alabama Student Bar Association, Women in Law society, Junior Member of the Trial Advocacy Board, Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and Intellectual Property Society. In the spring semester, she was elected to represent the 2L class as a Class Representative in the Student Bar Association. She was recently selected as a member of Cumberland’s National Trial Team and as a member of the Cumberland Law Review.
