Carter Young graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in 2025, where he double majored in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Political Science with a minor in English.

At Cumberland, Carter is a member of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board as a Junior Director while also serving as a Career Development Advisor to the incoming class of 1L law students. During his time at Cumberland, he also received the CALI Scholar of Merit Award in Real Property and has been named to the Dean's list each semester during his time at law school.

In his free time away from law school, Carter enjoys watching sports, hunting and fishing, watching movies (particularly in the theatre), and hanging out with his friends and family.
