James ("Jake") Miller graduated in May 2018 from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Management Information Systems and a minor in Computer Tech and Applications. Before attending law school, he worked at a health care consulting company in Birmingham, Alabama.  

 

At Cumberland, Jake serves on the Career Development Advisory Board and is the Treasurer for the Student Health Lawyers Association. He has been named to the Dean's List each semester during his law school career and received the CALI Scholar of Merit award for Business Organizations. Jake is also pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Health Law and Compliance. 

 

Outside of school, Jake enjoys golf, playing guitar, and fishing.
