Mary Grace Nelson graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University in 2024, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Pre-Law and Philosophy. She was also a member of the Shackouls Honors College, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society, and Lambda Sigma Honor Society.

 

At Cumberland, Mary Grace serves as the president of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and is a member of Women in Law and the Alabama Student Bar Association. Mary Grace has earned a CALI award for Employment Discrimination and Technology for the Practice of Law. She was also a semifinalist in the Parham H. Williams Trial Competition and has been named to the dean’s list each semester during her time at Cumberland.

In her free time, Mary Grace enjoys playing guitar, needlepointing, playing mahjong, and spending time with friends and family.
